ST.PAUL, Minn. — The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees said Governor Tim Walz leap-frogged the consultation process in a new vaccination mandate for state workers. Julie Bleyhl, the union’s executive director, said she wishes her 18,000-member union had been “truly heard in the decision-making process.” That being said, Bleyhl added, the union will do all it can to promote worker safety and the efficacy of vaccines.
