TOMAH, Wis. – Police ended a five-hour stand-off with a 15-year-old boy by pepper-spraying a house where he had holed up. The youth came out and surrendered without further incident. The confrontation began about 6 p.m. The Sheriff’s Office got a call that a youth at a rural house had a gun. As deputies were on their way, the youth reportedly fired several shots. After their arrival, he fired three more and one round struck a nearby house, deputies said. A SWAT team was summoned. Negotiators began to try to talk to the teen. Five hours later the decision was made to pepper-spray.
