MENONOMIE, Wis. – A Hayward man, Bruce McGuigan, 37, was found bludgeoned to death at a house near Menomonie. Deputies had been called to the house to check on McGuigan’s welfare. He was dead. As investigators pieced together what happened, two men picked up McGuigan in hayward on November 15 and drove 100 miles to Menomonie. Sometime the next night he was killed with a blunt instrument pounded into his head many times.
