KENYON, Minn. – The person found dead in a burning car at a north Kenyon house New Year’s Eve was Corey Lee Cassidy, 36 of Dodge Center, an autopsy concluded. There was no foul play, the report said. Death tentatively was attributed to carbon monoxide poisoning, which usually is caused by automobile exhaust. The autopsy left questions unanswered:
> What was Cassidy doing in a private driveway 21 miles from home?
> How did the car fire begin?
> Why did the car have Wisconsin plates?
The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office said it was concluded that the fire started in the car in the driveway and spread to the house. The house, whose owners were away in Arizona, was unoccupied.
