MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Division of Motor Vehicles has printed 146,00 orange stickers to be placed on license plates of electric vehicles. A new law requires the suckers as an alert to first-responders to take special precautions with EVs and hybrids in emergency situations. Car dealers will provide the stickers with new cars. Owners of existing EVs will receive theirs in the mail.

More color on plates. Wisconsin has 146,000 EVs on the road so far. More coming every day.
