ALTURA, Minn. – Responding to a report of erratic driving, deputies stopped Gregory Backes, 47, of St. Charles, and checked his blood-alcohol content. The breathalyzer registered 0.11%. The legal max is 0.8%. Deputies had begun looking for Backes after he was reported driving in and out of his lane as he left Rollingstone. The arrest was seven miles up Highway 248 near Altura.
