ST. PAUL, Minn. – A house burglar stole $8,000 in silver bars and weaponry – and then shot and killed the family’s golden retriever on his way out, police said. Police have the man’s face on video from a home security camera. Police posted the images online and asked for public help to find the man. The break-in was about 9:45 a.m. Police said the burglar used a shovel to get into the house. He took an AR-15 rifle and silver bars worth nearly $8,000. The burglary was in the 2000 block of Margaret Street on the East Side.
