WINONA, Minn. — A man told police that he had been receiving phone calls stating his identity had been stolen and that there were warrants for his arrest. To clear the warrants, the man said, he was told to buy $2,000 in gift cards,. The man, who lives in the 500 block of East Seventh Street, was directed to the FBI’s internet crime complaint center. The scam was reported abiut 4 p.m.
