ELY, Minn. — A Colorado man drowned after a severe storm capsized his canoe on East Loon Bay of Loon Lake in the Boundary Waters Wilderness in northern Minnesota. The body of Wayne Morrow, 73, of Fort Lupton, Colorado, was recovered 61 feet under. Deputies said Murrow and Denis Guenther, 65, of Grand Junction, Colorado, were in the canoe when it capsized in heavy rain and strong winds. Guenther to swam, to shore. When he returned to the canoe, Morrow was missing. Deputies said the men had life jackets but were not using them.
