EYOTA, Minn. — A board member of the Dover-Eyota Storm Softball Association was charged with stealing almost $18,000 from the teen-age girls fast-pitch club. A criminal complaint said Jennifer Stephans, 47, of Eyota, began the thefts in May 2015. Stephans was transferring funds to her own account, according to the complaint. Acting on suspicions of the team’s bank, investigators said they first asked Stephans about one transaction, which they said she explained as a mistake that would be corrected.
