LACROSSE, Wis. — The ritz of LaCrosse hotels, the Charmant has been purchased for an undisclosed sum by building supply tycoon Diane Hendricks. The sale showed up in property transaction records. At $2.2 billion Henricks is widely considered the wealthiest woman in Wisconsin. Her fortune is from ABC Roofing, a Beloit-based building supply company. Henricks and her late husband built the company from scratch. Henricks is known mostly as a major contributor to right-wing causes. She put $14.9 million into Donald Trump’s presidential campaigns, including huge cash fusions into a dirty tricks project against Trump campaign rival Hillary Clintin. Henricks gave $50,000 to former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker while pushing for state anti-labor legisation.
