INTERNATIONAL FALLS, Minn. — A forest camera cougar spotted a cougar south of the Voyageurs National Park — a rare sighting. The state Natural Resources Department said the sighting was October 20. Since 2004 only 59 cougars have been reported in the area. Most have been young males traveling from breeding populations in the western Dakotas.
