MADISON, Wis. — A Wisconsin appeals court blocked a statewide limit on gatherings and business capacities. The decision override a lower court that had upheld Governor Tony Evers’ crowd limit to slow the  spread of COVID-19 infections. Evers sasn’t happy: “Today’s decision comes as we reported more than 6,000 new COVID-19 cases—the most ever in a single day. This is another blow to our state’s response to this pandemic and our efforts to keep Wisconsinites safe.” The governor had ordered a limit of 25% capacity on bars and restaurants. The governor promised to appeal to the ruling to the state Supreme Court.
