WINONA, Minn. – Winter trash and litter sure piles up. Volunteers organized by Ben Strand, director of the Main Street Program, collected 78 gallons of trash from the downtown area. The 20-vounteer team walked Second and Third streets for the six blocks from Franklin Street to Johnson Street. The goal, Strand said, was to keep downtown safe and inviting.
