WAUSAU, Wis. – A young doe crashed through a window into a nursing home. In confusion and frightened the deer scattered glass up and down a hallway. Three Wausau police officers pounced as the deer tried to dash past them on the slippery tile. A nursing home attendant opened a door. It bounded out. Nobody was hurt, although the officers said the deer may have a few small cuts from the glass.

Body cams on. Among officers wrestling the deer was Aaron Karlen, a former Canadian professional football player. He wrapped his arms around the deer and with the help of fellow officers and walked her to a side door. Image: Wausau Police Department
