PAUL, Minn. – The state Democratic chair, Ken Martin, described the newly endorsed GOP candidate for secretary of state, Kim Crockett, as someone who wants to narrow access to voting. “She is running to restrict your freedom to vote by attacking common-sense things like early voting and vote by mail,” Martin said. Crockett represents a “lack of respect for the rights of her fellow Minnesotans,” he said. Crockett was endorsed Friday at the state Republican convention. An endorsement usually means nomination in the primary election, but apple carts have been upset in the past.
