WINONA, Minn. – Golf pro Dennis Walters, who experienced a spinal cord injury early in his career but who came back to play, has been booked for the annual Winona Health golf fundraiser on August 8. Walters will offer an exhibit with his adapted golf cart and one of his rescue dogs at 4:45 p.m. The exhibit is open to the public. The Winona Health Foundation, sponsor of the 18-hole event, called Walters’s comeback remarkable and an inspiration. The event is at the Cedar Valley course. Registration is $100 to $25,000. Last ear the tournament helped 434 patients cover $576,000 in medical expenses.
