RAMROD KEY, Fla. – An 11-year-old Rochester boy blacked out on a deep dive at Looe Key Reef and was convulsing when he surfaced. He was airlifted 140 miles to a hospital in Miami, where his condition was reported as stable. Recovery was expected. At Ramrod Key, authorities on a family outing with a scuba divemaster aboard a commercial dive boat. The boy was in 20 feet of water. He had been in the water for about 35 minutes. The boy’s name was not released. The accident was 10:50 a.m.
