GRASSTON, Minn. – A man whose dog was struck by a hit-and-run driver went to the dog’s aid and was hit himself by a second driver and killed apparently instantly. Pine County Sheriff Jeff nelson declined to tell reporters the name of the victim or of the second driver. The sheriff said the driver who struck the man stopped immediately and tried to assist. The accident happened in the early evening.
