EYOTA, Minn. – So many teachers and students are quarantined due to the COVID virus that the Dover-Eyota middle and high school shut down classroom instruction and switched to complete distance learning. Superintendent Michael Carolan said the school district had two positive cases of COVID-19 in the middle school, which led to more than 50 students and staff going into quarantine. Not enough substitute teachers were available cover classes, he said. The plan is for distance learning to continue through November 3, with hybrid classes resuming November 5 at both middle and high school. The Dover-Eyota elementary program was not affected.
