WINONA, Minn. — A Winona man, Michael Warren Barker, 52, left a trail of mayhem in the Far East End before being arrested for driving drunk. Police Barker hit a stop sign, drove on a sidewalk, and maneuvered in and out of traffic in the area of Mankato Avenue and Sarnia Street. A witness to the hit-and-run property damage led police the 1500 block of Homer Road where they found Barker parked. Police said Barker admitted to drinking. A test showed his blood alcohol at 0.26%, which approaches the borderline for unconsciousness. Barker was charged with intoxicated driving and hit-and-run property damage.
