FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. – Flavor delights or fright? You decide. These are among 38 new dishes at the Minnesota State Fair, which opens August 25 and runs through Labor Day.

Birthday Cake Paleta. A Mexican frozen dessert on-a-stick made with chunks of birthday cake, sprinkles and a vanilla extract base. Created by La Michoacana Rose to celebrate Hamline Church Dining Hall’s 125th year at the fair. Additional varieties available. At Hamline Church Dining Hall booth.

Minneblueberry Pie. Blueberry pie made with a crisp flaky crust. filled with blueberries. Served with vanilla ice cream. Vegan if served without ice cream, At Minneapple Pie booth.
