ROCHESTER, Minn. – A mother and daughter escaped as fire ripped through their mobile home in northeast Rochester. There were no injuries, but four people in all were displaced and given Red Cross shelter. The fire sent smoke spiraling into the air and could be seen for miles. The fire burned through the entire structure and melted the siding of nearby structures in tightly packed Rocky Creek Estates. A pickup truck in driveway was destroyed. Several propane tanks in the front yard were scorched. The fire was about 7:30 p.m.
