FARIBAULT, Minn. – Mayor Kevin Voracek entered rehab after two drunken-driving stops. In a message to the public Voracek apologized for “some bad decisions.” The arrests were in April. In rehab, Voracek said, he would be out of communication, but would return to the community. “I look forward to seeing you all through a new lens,” he said. Voraek, age 42, has been highly visible as mayor, participating in community evets and festivals.

Voracek, as extracted from his public message: “Today, with my son, I leave for a week of rehab and therapy. It has been a tough year thus far in our household due to some bad decisions I have made. It has affected my family’s personal life in many ways, and for that, I am truly sorry. I am looking at coming back to be the person my family expects and deserves. While my personal life doesn’t affect how parks are shaped or taxes used, I do owe it to the community to be the best example I can be.” Since 1997 he has owned Edison Custom Electronics. Earlier he was a CenturyLink network technician. He is a1 999 graduate if Dakot County Technical College.
