ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Republican-controlled Minnesota Senate has expressed no interest in setting up a commission to modernize the state flag and rid the flag of a demeaning portrayal of Indians. Democrats had been pushing for a 16-member flag commission. The proposal remains active in the Minnesota House.
