LACROSSE, Wis. – After 28 years of reporting the weather, television meteorologist Cory Malles announced he will leave broadcasting to focus on his private life. He thanked the station. “Backburner issues” in his life, he said, merited attention that were precluded by his public presence. Malles has been on leave from the station. He grew up in Trempealeau, Wisconsin. He graduated from Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau High School. He was a Winona State University mass communication graduate and studied meteorology at Mississippi State University.
