WASHINGTON – The Army wants more details about a request from Fort McCoy in Wisconsin for $145 million to repair barracks. The Wisconsin post, near Sparta, temporarily housed 12,600 refugees from the U.S. military evacuation from Afghanistan for seven months in 2021. The money, McCoy said, would restore facilities to pre-existing conditions.
