MADISON, Wis. – Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Sarah Godlewski dipped into her personal wealth to put $1 million into the race. “I believe in this campaign, and I am putting my money where my mouth is,” Godlewski said. She and her husband Max Duckworth have assets from asset management estimated between $24 million and $60 million. Godlewski is one of roughly a dozen candidates in the Democratic primary race for the U.S. Senate seat held for 11 years by Republican Ron Johnson. He has not said if he’s running again. Besides her own $1 million Godlewski raised $513,000 from Emily’s List, a which supports female candidates who are committed to abortion rights.
