MADISON, Wis. – A LaCrosse man who sold cocaine to an undercover police officer over 30 years ago was pardoned by Governor Tony Evers. At the time, Evers said, Alan Louis was struggling with substance-use disorder. The governor noted that Louis is now an active member of the La Crosse community, where he also operates two jewelry stores with his wife, with whom he shares two children and five grandchildren. The pardon was among 33 issued by the governor.
