MADISON, Wis. – Governor Tony Evers doesn’t have anything good to say about a pending audit of the2020 Wisconsin election that’s been engineered by Trump minion Robin Vos. It’s “a “$700,000 boondoggle,” Evers said. Vos, the State Assembly speaker, modeled the audit on a discredited Trump audit in Arizona, and he has put retired state Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman, a right-wing conservative, in charge. The Arizona audit cost $7 million in tax dollars and found nothing amiss with the original count. It did, however, fuel publicity for Trump claims that he was cheated out of the presidency. In Wisconsin, Justice Gableman has said he believes the Wisconsin election was stolen, although he offered no evidence. He is focusing on local election clerks to prove the election was unfair. At a news conference Evers said: “If I was a clerk I’d be lawyered up.” He accused Gableman of running an inquisition that puts election clerks in a logically impossible position of proving a negative. Evers said clerks ran good elections: “Everybody s there was no fraud.”
