WINONA, Minn. – The first coronavirus death in Winona County in more than10 weeks was confirmed by the Minnesota Health Department. The death, of a person in the 80 to 89 age range, brought the county’s total virus death toll to 16. Meanwhile, the county’s number of infections grew by seven, to 163 in all — the highest single-day increase in since June 25, when there also were seven new cases.
