ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota Supreme Court affirmed the conviction of a snowmobiler who crashed into an 8-year-old boy on Chisago Lake in 2018 and killed him. The snowmobiler, Eric Coleman, of Chisago City, had argued that his rights were affected by faulty jury instructions at his trial for third-degree murder. He was also found guilty of drunken driving, criminal vehicular homicide, and criminal vehicular operation. Coleman is serving a12-year prison term Second-grader Alan Geisenkoetter Jr. was killed in the accident. His father, Alan Sr., was injured.
