WASHINGTON – The U.S. House voted 218-215 to re-elect Mike Johnson, a Louisiana Republican, as Speaker of the House. The initial vote was an even split. But Johnson herded GOP holdouts into a cloakroom to take a call from President-elect Donald Trump at a golf course to strong-arm them to change their votes.
