FLOWER peony ehlen ordby - Winona Journal

More beautiful with the years. It seems peonies live forever. Some planted by Thomas Jefferson at his Monticello home still bloom all these 250 years later. In Winona, in a West End backyard near the High School, this petite but full peony dates at least to the 1960s and a cutting from a Rushford garden. Visitors  say it’s the color they had growing up and the color they have been trying to find. Image: Helen Nordby
