VIROQUA, Wis. – A Viroqua police officer’s squad car and a semi-truck tangled. The truck won. The officer was headed up Main Street when Scott Kunda of Winona, the truck driver, attempted to turn right but, investgators said, he was going too fast for conditions. The trailer jackknifed into the squad car. The officer was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Kunda was unhurt. The squad car was totaled, the truck barely scratched. The accident happened about 9:22 a.m. at Willow Street near the city bus garage.
