ST. PAUL, Minn. — Governor Tim Walz said the Minnesota National Guard soldiers, whom ne activated this week, will remain on duty for several days of heightened security concern at the state Capitol and other likely terrorist targets. Speaking to reporters, Walz mentioned discussions with Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer about an FBI memo that cited intelligence that the Minnesota and Michigan state capitols were vulnerable this weekend. He noted too that President Donald Trump called on his supporters several times to “liberate” the two states. Also, he said, a joint force of several state law enforcement officials had warned about the weekend. Walz said he was aware that the home addresses of several legislators had been posted online by anarchist and right-wing groups.
