ST. PAUL, Minn. – Eight jailers, all racially or ethnically minority, said they were reassigned and replaced by white colleagues to watch over white cop-killer George Floyd in the Ramsey County jail. In a complaint to the state Human Rights Commission, the jailers said they were ordered to a separate floor of the jail because their boss considered them a “liability” around Derek Chauvin. The reassignment was discriminatory, the complaint said. Chauvin was kept under tight protective security and on suicide watch during a brief stay at the jail.
