WINONA, Minn. – The popular Jefferson Pub and Grill, in an old railroad freight house on the levee, has been put up for sale. The business had been shuttered since March because of the CoVid pandemic, but patrons had expected it to reopen with easing state virus restrictions. Not so. The Jefferson website says: “Permanently closed.” The building, 9,000 square feet on two floors, has been listed for sale at $749,900. Another restaurant, Betty Jo Byoloski’s, next door to Jefferson Pub and with a similar menu and ambiance, closed last year.
