AUSTIN, Minn. — An Austin man charged with nine child sex crimes over seven months — yes, nine — has been ruled incompetent to stand trial. The judge came to the conclusion based on a mental evaluation of Curtis Allen Kindschy, 52, after a series of criminal sexual conduct charges going back to June. Time and again Kindschy just didn’t seem to be getting the judge’s messages about right and wrong. The victims were underage, one younger only 6 and at least while other kids watched.
