ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota House voted 126-0 to require the state to divest its holdings in Russian and Belarusian entities. The investments are believed to be relatively small, about $50 million. The bill next goes to the State Senate, which was expected also to pass the requirement. The bill is in response to unproved aggression against Ukraine that has targeted civilians and killed an estimated 1,000 and forced a mass exodus of 3 million. The bill follows an executive order by Governor Tim Walz that banned state agencies from working with Russian companies.
