STOCKTON, Minn. – The highway over Stockton Hill was closed by an accident near the foot of the Stockton Hill grade on the Stockton side. The accident involved an Iowa pickup headed uphill with a trailer toward Winona with mortar supplies. Five-gallon buckers were scattered on Highway 14, some busted open. The accident was about 11:30 a.m. Highway 14 motorists were detoured nine miles to Minnesota City.
