LACRESCENT, Minn. – The LaCrescent-Hokah School Board appointed veteran teacher Dale Carlson as interim superintendent of the 1,000-student district. Carlson replaces Eric Maritinez, who resigned in November after a domestic situation got out hand  landed him in jail. Carlson has 36 years in school positions. Hewas a high school math teacher. Earlier he has been a coach, principal and superintendent in Wisconsin. The La Crescent-Hokah superintendency pays $128,000.

Carlson. Holds a master’s degree from Winona State and a doctorate from Wisconsin-Madison.
