ST. PAUL, Minn. – State Senator Jeremy Miller, R-Winona, said he opposes legislation to require electronic pull-tabs to look like paper pull-tabs – not like hand-held slot machines. The House has included such a requirement in its version of a wide-ranging commerce bill. Miller said in a KWNO radio interview that e-pull tabs have been incredibly successful for charitable organizations, bars and restaurants. The Senate version does not include outlawing e-tabs. The issue is on the agenda for a House-Senate committee that will hammer out variations of the commerce bill coming from the House and Senate. E-tabs are opposed by Minnesota tribes that operate casinos and see e-tabs as too closely resembling slot machines to which they have exclusive rights under state law.

Miller. Good comes from wide use of e-tabs, like funding the state portion for US Bank football stadium.

E-pull tabs. Money-makers that bars and restaurants like.
