ST.PAUL, Minn,.– The state Democratic chair, Ken Martin said he was “shocked and horrified” to hear of the assault on Representative Angie Craig on her way to work at the U.S. Capitol. “It is a relief to hear that the injuries are not dire,” he said. ” While we do not know the motivations of the attacker, I believe it is important for leaders on both sides of the aisle to step up and make it clear that political violence of any kind is completely unacceptable.” The Minnesota Republican chair, David Hann, said he was saddened about the attack. Hann expressed hope that the attacker is brought to justice swiftly .
