FARIBAULT, Minn. – Congressional candidate Jennifer Carnahan told police that a driver swerved at her on the campaign trail after harassing her. She was not hurt. Carnahan was campaigning door-to-door in Faribault. She said she was approached by a man who made threatening comments. As she walked away, she said, the man swerved his vehicle at her. She described the man as white probably 18 to 20 years old. Carnahan is of Korean descent. The man, she said, was driving a blue Ford Focus. She said the incident was in the 1000 block of 1st Street around 5:30 p.m. Police asked witnesses or anyone who knows the suspect to come forward.

Carnahan. A lightning rod in GOP politics. She was forced out as GOP state chair after a Minneapolis donor and friend, Anton Lazzaro, was jailed on a sex trafficking indictment.
