HIXTON, Wis. — A St. Croix Falls woman was arrested on Interstate 94 as driving drunk with children in her car — as well marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The arrest of Alexis Posthumus-Lorentz, age 29, was at the scene of a two-vehicle crash. It was believed there were no serious injuries. Police said that Lorentz’s arrest was her third for impaired driving. She was taken to the Black River Falls hospital for blood-alcohol tests to confirm roadside tests. The children, 9 and 7, were taken into protective custody for placement \Eau Claire.
