WINONA, Minn. – Police arrested Leighton Lyle Leroy Munger, 58, of Winona, after another man was threatened at a downtown residence on the 150 block of East Third Street. The arrest was at the hospital, where Munger was taken after taking a punch in the face. This was about 9:10 p.m. As police pieced together what happened from a witness and the two men: There was an argument. The other man tried to walk away. Munger pulled a knife and told the second man: “Don’t you turn your back on me.” The other man pivoted and punched Munger, possibly breaking his jaw. Police decided not to recommend a charge against the second man. Munson faces a charge of domestic assault causing fear.
