LANESBORO , Minn. – Henry Edward “Doc” Lawston, 77, a Lanesboro veterinarian for large and small animals, died at Country Winds Manor in Cresco, Iowa. He was a 1961 Canton High School. He earned his veterinary degree at the University of Minnesota and then joined theCaledonia Veterinary Service. In 1987 he sold his business and began working as a federal meat inspector. His last seven years of full-time USDA inspection were in Marshall. At age 71 he retired but still worked as an intermittent inspector.
