ALTURA, Minn. – Thomas George Speltz, 47, of Altura, a school teacher and administrator, died at home of natural causes. He graduated from Lewiston Altura High School and Winona State University. He held teaching, coaching and school administrative posts in Zumbrota-Mazeppa, Crookston, Dodge Center and Spring Valley. After that he worked for Go Rochester Direct shuttle service. He was a sportswriter for the Lewiston Journal and volunteered for the Altura Ambulance.
