LACROSSE, Wis. – Skeletal human remains found in Running Slough on the South Side have been identified as a teenager who reported missing six years ago. James B. Mummer, age 17, had been last sighted last in September 2018 near the Mississippi River. Technology at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona made the identification, the county medical examiner said. The remains were found 17 months ago. The medical examiner said were no signs of injury or trauma.
